Please read these terms carefully before submitting a service enquiry or bringing a watch to our workshop. By engaging our services, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Lotus Hour," "we," "us," "our" — the watch repair workshop operating at 425 Ratchadamri Road, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand.
- "Client," "you" — any individual who contacts us, submits a service enquiry, or delivers a watch for service.
- "Service" — any of the three watch service appointments offered by Lotus Hour, as described on our website and in written estimates.
- "Watch" — the timepiece delivered to us for assessment or service.
- "Agreement" — the service agreement formed when both parties confirm scope and cost in writing prior to work commencing.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our website or delivering a watch to our workshop, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter a service agreement. If you are delivering a watch on behalf of another person, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3. Service Description
We offer three watch service appointments: Quartz Service and Refresh (฿3,100), Wristwatch Service with Strap Selection (฿5,200), and Estate Watch Assessment and Renewal (฿7,700). Full descriptions are available on our website and will be explained at the time of intake. Services are performed in Bangkok and watches must be delivered and collected in person unless an alternative is agreed in writing.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the watch, its known history, and any previous service work
- Disclose any known damage, modifications, or conditions relevant to the service
- Collect the watch within 14 days of notification that it is ready, unless an extension is agreed
- Notify us promptly if your contact details change during the service period
5. Service Scope and Changes
Work commences only after a written estimate has been agreed. If, during the course of service, we discover conditions that would require work outside the agreed scope or additional cost, we will contact you before proceeding. No additional work or cost will be incurred without your explicit agreement.
If you wish to modify the agreed scope after work has commenced, we will advise on feasibility and any cost implications before making changes.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is made in Thai Baht (THB) at the time of collection. We accept cash and bank transfer. The amount payable is the agreed service price plus any additional amounts approved by you during the service. No advance deposit is required for standard appointments.
If a watch is not collected within 60 days of notification, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee of ฿200 per week thereafter.
7. Service-Specific Terms
All services: We document the condition of the watch on arrival. Cosmetic work (case polishing, refinishing) is never performed unless expressly requested and agreed.
Estate Assessment and Renewal: The initial assessment appointment informs the service plan. The ฿7,700 price covers the assessment and standard renewal work. Parts beyond those typically required may be quoted separately.
Strap selection: The strap included in the Service with Strap Selection appointment is selected from our standard range. Specialist or bespoke straps are available at additional cost and must be agreed before ordering.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — text, images, design elements — is the property of Lotus Hour or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use website content for commercial purposes without written permission.
9. Disclaimers
Watch service is a skilled trade and outcomes depend on the condition and age of the timepiece. While we apply professional standards to all work, we cannot represent that a watch will achieve a specific rate of accuracy or perform identically to when it was new, particularly for vintage or estate pieces.
Parts availability may affect timelines and, in some cases, the scope of what can be achieved. We advise on this during assessment.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the cost of that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of sentimental value.
In the unlikely event that damage occurs to a watch during service as a result of our error, we will discuss remedy options with you, which may include repair, sourcing of equivalent parts, or a partial or full refund of the service cost, depending on the circumstances.
11. Uncollected Watches
If a watch is not collected within 90 days of notification that it is ready, and we have made reasonable attempts to contact you without response, we reserve the right to treat the watch as abandoned. We will make a final written attempt to contact you before taking any further action.
12. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If a dispute arises, we ask that you contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it informally. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These terms, together with any written service estimate, constitute the full agreement between us.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your obligations under a service agreement without our written consent.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued engagement with our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
