Things People Often Ask

How long does a typical service take?
A quartz service and refresh generally takes five to seven working days. Movement services and estate work take longer — usually ten to fourteen days — because we take time to assess what is needed and source any parts correctly. We give a more specific estimate when we receive the watch.
Do I need to make an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk-in visits are welcome, though an appointment helps us set aside the right amount of time — especially for estate work, which benefits from an unhurried first conversation. You can book through the form below or by telephone.
What brands and types of watches do you work on?
We work on most mechanical and quartz watches — everyday wearers, vintage pieces, and estate items. If you are uncertain whether a particular watch falls within our scope, please contact us first with a brief description or photograph. We are honest about the cases where a specialist marque service centre would be a better choice.
Will you polish or refinish the case without being asked?
No. We discuss any cosmetic work separately and do not include it unless you have asked for it. Many watches carry wear that is meaningful to their owner, and we do not treat that as something needing correction.
What happens if you discover more work is needed than expected?
We contact you before proceeding. The original agreed scope does not change without your approval. If the additional work changes the cost or timeline significantly, we explain why and wait for your instruction.
Do you offer any form of service period after the work is done?
We ask that you return the watch to us if you notice something unexpected in the months following a service. We are happy to inspect it and, if the issue relates to work we performed, we address it without further charge. The specifics depend on what is found.
