What We Offer
Reasons to Choose a Workshop That Works at Your Watch's Pace
We have built Lotus Hour around the things that matter to people who care about their watches — transparency, patience, and work done with full attention.

Six Things That Define How We Work
Technical Expertise
Our lead watchmaker has over a decade of experience with both quartz and mechanical movements, and has studied with horological instructors in Thailand and Europe.
Transparent Process
Every appointment begins with a written estimate. Every change to that estimate requires your agreement first. There are no surprises at collection.
Personal Attention
Each watch is handled by the same technician from intake to return. It does not pass through multiple hands or sit waiting in a queue.
Clear Pricing
Our three service appointments have defined prices. You know the cost before the work begins, and it does not change without a conversation.
Thorough Assessment
We do not begin work without first understanding the watch. Estate and unfamiliar pieces receive a dedicated assessment before any service plan is agreed.
Accessible Location
We are on Ratchadamri Road in Pathum Wan — a short walk from BTS Ratchadamri and accessible from most central Bangkok neighbourhoods without difficulty.
Expertise
Trained Knowledge, Not General Repair
Watch repair is a discipline with its own technical language, its own tools, and its own standards. A watchmaker trained in horology approaches a movement differently from a general repair technician. The oils used, the torque applied to screws, the method used to clean components — each detail matters to the long-term performance of the piece.
At Lotus Hour, the person who opens your watch has studied these disciplines specifically. They understand what the manufacturer intended, what deterioration looks like at different stages, and how to make decisions that serve the watch over years rather than just passing an immediate check.
- Formal horological training with practical workshop experience
- Familiarity with quartz, automatic, and manual-wind movements
- Appropriate lubrication applied only where specified for each movement type
- Ongoing study — techniques are updated as the field develops
- Written estimate provided before any work is agreed
- No work proceeds without your explicit agreement at each stage
- You are contacted immediately if something unexpected is found
- Collection receipt matches the agreed figure exactly
Process
A Process You Can Follow and Understand
We do not use technical complexity as a reason to leave clients in the dark. When we find something worth noting — a worn component, a degraded gasket, a part that should be replaced — we describe it in plain language and explain what the options are.
This means the service takes a little longer to explain. We think that is a reasonable trade for the assurance it provides.
Value
Pricing That Reflects the Work, Not the Location
Our three service appointments are priced to reflect the time and skill involved. A quartz service starts at ฿3,100. A full movement service with strap consultation is ฿5,200. Estate assessment and renewal is ฿7,700. These are complete prices — not starting points from which costs grow.
We do not charge a consultation fee for a first conversation. If you are uncertain whether your watch needs attention, bring it in and we will tell you honestly.
- Fixed prices for all three service appointments
- No consultation fee for an initial assessment
- Additional costs only arise with your approval
- Thai Baht pricing — no currency conversion surprises

What Sets Us Apart
Three Things You Will Not Find Everywhere
The Strap Selection Appointment
After your movement service, you are invited to sit with us and try different straps on the watch — leather, rubber, fabric — until something feels right. This is included in the service appointment price, not charged separately.
Estate History as Part of the Process
When you bring in a watch with family history, we begin with a conversation about that history before we discuss the watch technically. What you know about the piece informs how we approach it, and we treat that knowledge as relevant.
We Decline Work We Cannot Do Well
Some watches belong with a brand-authorised centre or a specialist in a particular complication. We say so when that is the case, and we can often help you understand where to go. This costs us the job. We think it is the correct way to operate.
